Our Story

Bringing Creativity and Community Together in Hutto

Hutto Arts Today is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to empowering artists, inspiring creativity, and making the arts accessible to everyone.

Established in 2014

A community-based nonprofit and registered 501(c)(3) proudly serving Hutto and surrounding communities through the arts.

What We Do

Hutto Arts Today brings the arts to life through community theater, artist grants, educational camps and classes, community partnerships, and public arts programming.

Historical Impact

Since its founding, Hutto Arts Today has brought neighbors together through performances, education, and creative opportunities for residents of all ages. HAT has produced community theater productions, including Three One-Act Romantic Comedies by David Ives, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, The Addams Family, Hairspray, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, creating opportunities for local performers and audiences to experience live theater close to home.

HAT has also supported young artists through two $500 scholarships awarded to local high school students pursuing the arts, hosted youth acting camps through Community Education, and led a technical theater camp at Southwestern University in Georgetown, giving students hands-on experience both on stage and behind the scenes.

Through partnerships with the Hutto Public Library, HAT introduced younger audiences to storytelling and performance through interactive programs featuring The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister and Dr. Seuss’s Gertrude McFuzz.

Together, these programs, along with ongoing collaboration with local schools (Hutto ISD), civic partners (City of Hutto), and volunteers,  have helped make the arts an active and welcoming part of everyday life in Hutto.
